Fog Warning

so, maryland has these electronic signs that "hang" over some of the major highways. you know, so they can inform us of traffic that we are already sitting in or provide the 1-800 number to call in case we see any suspicious activity. this is all well and good, but this morning i was actually given a fog warning.

fog?! where?

yes, this morning was foggy. however, i don't think i needed a sign to clue me in. two points.

1) the "warning" caused unnecessary traffic because you couldn't actually read the sign (um, because it was foggy) until you were directly underneath it, at which point everyone slammed on their breaks to read about the fog.

2) if you couldn't tell it was foggy by walking outside this morning, then you really ought to have stayed home.
