so, i had a pretty wild time last night. i watched the
history channel for about three hours. i started the evening by watching the end of "
star wars: the legacy revealed" and for someone that watches at least part of a
star wars movie (episodes iv, v, or vi) every day, i was close to hysterics. it was pretty interesting, but i wish i'd been able to see the whole thing ... maybe they further explain the correlation between the nazi's and the empire?
next, i watched the season premier of "
the universe" ... they spent one hour discussing the sun. i was reminded of all the fascinating facts i'd learned about our solar system in my high school earth science class. remember cme's?? yeah, they're coronal mass ejections. do you know when solar storms peak? in 11 year cycles. we can expect the next peak around 2012. did you know that NOAA monitors space weather?
well, they do. anyway, i found the whole thing extremely interesting and i'm very excited to learn about mars (again) next week (tuesdays @ 9:00pm).
